SEO Networker 3.0:
Pay Per View Advertising
SEO Networker 3.0 is a search engine optimization course developed by Raymond Fong and Ferney Ceballos. This is a fully updated curriculum as this course focuses on how to get ranked on Google and how to tiptoe around all their algorithm changes. Ray and Ferney have released a series of free videos as part of their prelaunch for their SEO Networker 3.0 release in late 2011. This review is my second in a series outlining Ray and Ferney’s approach to SEO and why it should be important to you.
SEO Networker 3.0
To begin with here is a brief background on these two guys Ray Fong immigrated with his family from Taiwan and Ferney Ceballos is from East LA. and ultimately they both went on to receive masters degrees in computer engineering from USC, where the two met. They both got great jobs in the aerospace industry (they were rocket scientists), but they both quickly discovered that the corporate world was not for them and Ray brought Ferney into the network marketing business. To make a long story very short, these guys have made a ton online and now work with some of the biggest names in the business so you might say that Ray and Ferney are the SEO experts to the gurus.
Pay Per View Advertising
In my first article in the series I discussed the psychology of online traffic and the topic here will be to discuss Pay-Per-View Advertising (PPV). PPV are a form of interruption advertising because these are typically pop-up ads. The goal of the pop-up is to offer something of value such as a ringtone, toolbar, ebook or webinar in exchange for permission to advertise to you if you provide an email address, name and even phone number.
The Mechanics of Pay-Per-View
These are the 4 steps in the PPV process:
- You can target your ad by bidding on keywords or even a specific URL.
- The user searches looking for information related to that keyword.
- Your pop-up inactivated.
- You pay for the impression.
Ray and Ferney explain that PPV is not used much by network marketers and the cost per lead is low at around $2.00 per lead which typically includes a phone number.
How To Get Started in Pay-Per-View:
Choose Network

There are quite a few pay-per-view networks, but here are 6 of the biggest ones:
- Traffic Vance: There is $1000 deposit required though
- Lead Impact: Ray and Ferney like this one, but the interface is bad
- AdOn Network
- Media Traffic
- Linksador
- Direct CPV
- Adoori
Develop your Pop-Up Ad
You can either create a banner style ad, which is good for affiliate programs, or you create more of a capture page, which is good for list building.
Bidding process
Generally you have two options. You can create an ad that targets certain keywords, but this can get expensive as your ad will run on various websites. The other option is to bid on specific URL’s. Ray and Ferney suggest that this is the best place to start if you’re new to PPV, because the focus is more targeted, that ads are cheaper and the conversion rates are higher. You’ll also know exactly which sites your ad will be appearing.
Your ad can appear even if you don’t win the bidding process. What happens is that if the fist place bider will get priority, but if a frequency cap or budget cap is met then the other bids will start appearing in the order of the bidding.
Tracking and Split Testing
You can include specific tracking scripts in your ad to know exactly where the lad was generated. If certain keywords of URL’s aren’r converting, then get rid of them. Once you PPV ad campaign has begun you can determine what you cost per lead is. For instance, if you get pay for 100 impressions and only get 1 lead, then you need to make changes. If you feel like you’ve targeted properly, then just make some changes to your ad. Maybe even run different ads to concurrently to determine which one(s) are getting the best response.
SEO Networker 3.0
Pay-Per-View ads are easy to start and you have lots of options when you consider all the various keywords and URL’s. PPV is relatively inexpensive too, but it’s an interruption ad that generates lower quality leads. Ray and Ferney point out that all ad campaigns should be considered and you don’t want to generate traffic using just one strategy alone. Internet marketing tactics can work for a while and then fizzle out. Also external issue such as the Google, Panda algorithm adjustments can totally change the battlefield.
