SEO Networker 3.0:

The Psychology of Traffic

SEO Networker 3.0
SEO Networker 3.0 is a new search engine optimization course created by Raymond Fong and Ferney Ceballos. Now at this point I’m sure you’re saying to yourself, so what, yet another SEO course. BIG YAWN. But wait, these two guys know their stuff and this course focuses on how to get ranked on Google post Panda. All of Googles algorithm adjustments of late have played havoc on what is actually required today to get your blog ranked. Ray and Ferney have released a series of free videos as part of their prelaunch in preparation for their SEO Networker 3.0 release in late November 2011. This review is my first in a series outlining Ray and Ferney’s approach to SEO and why you should pay attention.

SEO Networker 3.0:

Ray Fong immigrated with his family from Taiwan and Ferney Ceballos is from East LA. and ultimately they both went on to receive masters degrees in computer engineering from USC, where the two met. They both quickly discovered that the corporate world was not for them and Ray brought Ferney into the network marketing business. To make a long and interesting story very short, these guys have made millions online and they have introduced some top level training courses such as Attraction Marketing Formula and the No Excuses. They work with some of the biggest names in the business. Ray and Ferney are kind of like the SEO experts to the gurus.

Psychology Of Traffic

As Ray and Ferney explain it internet marketing is the application of sales psychology in the process of selling something online. In order to be successful in this business, you need to understand why people do what they do so, as a marketer you can produce predictable results in your business. Marketers who fail to understand sales psychology will not succeed.

Recommended Books

Ray and Ferney recommend two books on sales psychology. One is Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini and The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes.

Target Audience Mindset

SEO Networker 3.0
There are hundred of traffic sources on the internet and various methods to generate traffic which include:

  • Pop-ups
  • Banner Ads
  • Solo Ads
  • Facebook and other social media
  • Craigslist and other classified ads
  • You Tube and other video directories
  • Search engines traffic

You need to be aware of what people are doing when they come across your ad and why they are there. Are they searching for something in particular? Is your ad pulling them away from something else they were doing or is your ad interrupting something they were doing.

The Hierarchy Of Traffic Quality

Interruption Ads produce the lowest quality traffic. Pop-up are an example of ads that interrupt what people are doing and while effective, or marketers would have stopped using them long ago, they tend to produce lower quality leads. Ads on mobile apps are also an example of an interruption ad. Facebook PPC ads are also an interruption ad because most people go to Facebook to socialize and these ads pull people away from what they are there for. While pop-ups and mobile ads clearly interrupt, Facebook ads, while they’re an interruption, people voluntarily click on them, so the overall quality of traffic is higher. Facebook ads can be highly targeted, which also improves the quality of traffic.

The highest quality traffic comes from the search engines, and particularly Google. Most of the sophisticated internet traffic uses Google. It’s just true. People go to Google searching for something in particular. If someone types in “buy widgets” for instance, this is someone who is ready to make a purchase. You get the highest quality targeted traffic from Google with higher conversion rates.

Overall you need to create tons of interruption ads to generate lower quality leads as opposed to search engine traffic in which fewer leads are needed to generate higher quality, targeted leads.

SEO Networker 3.0

In Raymond Fong and Ferney Ceballos videos they lay out a framework for you to understand common sources for traffic generation. This all will culminate in the release of SEO Networker 3.0. and how to effectively harvest traffic using SEO and understanding how to make adjustments for the ongoing algorithm changes. Ray and Ferny clearly favor search engine traffic, but stress that it’s important to pursue various traffic getting strategies so you won’t end up putting all your eggs in one basket.
